1. Who can benefit from using Recovery Boots?
Whether you are a top athlete or train a few days a week, you can benefit from using Optima Sport Recovery Boots. This means you can enjoy the boots whether you are training for your first half-marathon or you are a top-level athlete.
Recovery Boots will help you:
- Save time on active recovery.
- Train harder more often.
- Avoid heavy legs the days after a hard training session.
- Prevent or shorten injury time.
2. How do Recovery Boots work?
When you wear the boots, the venous fluid is pressed back, leading to increased blood circulation. This provides oxygen and nutrients to your muscles and helps restore damaged tissues.
The treatment is comfortable and relaxing, and is completely risk-free with no side effects. You have several options to choose a treatment that suits you, by either selecting the program, time, and the pressure level in the boots.
3. How many air chambers should I choose (6C, 8C, or 12C)?
We offer three types of boots to choose from. The boots have either 6 chambers, 8 chambers, or 12 chambers. Below, you can read about the differences between the various boots.
Pro 6C is a versatile all-round machine. This machine is suitable for lymph drainage and massage programs. It offers good flexibility in terms of the number of air chambers that can be activated or deactivated.
Ultima 8C is our best-selling model. The machine is suitable for removing waste products and massage. The small chambers in this boot can more easily penetrate the muscles, providing a deeper massage. This boot also offers good flexibility, as you get 8 air chambers that can be activated or deactivated.
Extreme 12C is our top model. The machine allows for a very deep massage and drainage due to the small air chambers that can penetrate deep into the muscles. This boot also provides optimal flexibility, with 12 chambers that can be activated or deactivated. The machine also includes features not available in other models.
Suitable for: people who want faster recovery but not massage. The machine is also beneficial for those who walk or stand a lot during the day.
Suitable for: athletes or avid fitness enthusiasts who want a boot that offers both faster recovery and deep massage.

5. Should I choose boots or pants?
Advantages of Recovery Boots
Our compression boots start at your toes and end around your groin, and are excellent for massage and drainage of your legs. Our compression boots are perfect for those who want massage or drainage on their legs and are not interested in including the glutes and hips.
Location of air chambers 6-chamber: The boots have 1 chamber for the foot, 2 chambers around the lower leg, and 3 chambers around upper leg.
Location of air chambers 8-chamber: The boot has 1 chamber for the foot, 3 chambers around the lower leg, and 4 chambers around upper leg.
Location of air chambers for 12-chamber: The boot has 1 chamber for the foot, 5 chambers around the lower leg, and 6 chambers around upper leg.
Advantages of Recovery Pants
Our compression pants start at your toes and end around your lower back. Our pants are great for massaging and draining your legs, buttocks, and hips. The pants are ideal for sports where the glutes and hips work a lot, such as cycling, running, and football.
The pants for our 8C and 12C models are a bit larger, which means they cannot go quite as deep as the boots when massaging. However, this usually only has a minor impact. If you have difficulty walking, the pants can also feel cumbersome to put on. The pants can be used while seated, but reclined.
The bone structure around the hips is larger than in the legs, so the pressure around the hips may feel different compared to our Optima Sport Recovery Boots.
Location of air chambers 8-chamber: The boot has 1 chamber for the foot, 3 chambers around the lower leg, 3 chambers around upper leg, and 1 chamber around the hips and glutes.
Location of air chambers for 12-chamber: The boot has 1 chamber for the foot, 4 chambers around the lower leg, 4 chambers around upper leg, and 3 chambers around the hips and glutes
6. What length should I choose?
The length of the boots is important when choosing Recovery Boots. We offer two lengths of boots: 85 cm, and 100 cm. The right length for you depends on your height and preferences.
Here is a general guideline to help you choose the right length:
- If you are shorter than 185 cm, the 85 cm boots are a good choice.
- If you are taller than 185 cm, the 100 cm boots are recommended.
However, individual preferences may vary, so you can also base your choice on which part of your body you want to focus on. If you primarily want to treat your legs, the 70 cm boots are sufficient. For more coverage and comfort, especially for taller individuals, the longer boots are recommended.
